10 hours in Vienna

What do you do when you have a 10-hour layover in Vienna, discovered only a few days earlier?

You take the train into the city and hope to come across something interesting. And, if you’re me, you lose your free city map within an hour and get slightly lost.

Say what?

Say what?

It might have been fate, though, because my mapless, directionless wandering took me in the direction of Beethoven’s house. And then Mozart’s. I didn’t feel any sort of presence there, but I took some pictures because I suppose that’s what you do when in front of a building someone famous once spent time inside of.

Beethoven's house, obviously.

Beethoven's house, obviously.

Mozart's house, duh.

Mozart's house, duh.

Beethoven – Piano Sonata In F Major Op. 57 No. 23 “Appassionata” – I. Allegro assai

Thanks to Vienna’s very convenient City Airport Train, I made it back in time for my flight. Lots of time.

Mmm, check out those hot American sneakers!

Mmm, check out those hot American sneakers! (The only time I wear them is when I'm NOT in America, ironically.)
